Adultery

Matt. 5:27-30  

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.

 

We are told, not to commit adultery. After you have read the above verse you are in no doubt that God does not like adultery. Therefore, we should spend some time unpicking the above.

Not only is it wrong to commit adultery but just looking at a woman lustfully is just as bad.

 

Adam was the first spiritual man and Eve was his church / wife / helper.

 

Christian men and woman are equal in God’s eyes, however, the church is subordinate to the correct leader. So Eve was subordinate to Adam.

 

Adam is described as the husband and Eve is his wife. Under the supervision of her husband Eve is meant to have many (spiritual) children. She then brings them up according to her husband’s instructions. Although the correct church is referred to in the feminine she is made up of both male and female. Her role is to be obedient to her husband (who could also be male or female), who in turn is obedient to God. 

 

The woman you should not commit adultery with, or look at lustfully, is the church.

God describes a church under the wrong leadership as a prostitute and the leader as an adulterer.

 

Sadly, Adam allowed his wife to feed from the tree of good and evil which is the wrong church. This church has her own doctrine which is a mix of truth and lies (this includes all denominations). 

This resulted in ‘the fall’ and is the reason why God has turned away from mankind. 

 

Adam was made from dust (all spiritual people are made from dust). His desire was to get close to God. 

After a period of time spent with God he would have been prepared for his role with Eve. He should not have allowed Eve to feed from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 

He was the salt that had lost its saltiness and fit only to be thrown away.

 

The adulterer and the prostitute will eat dust all the days of their life. 

 

Genesis 3:14. 

So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,“Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.

The dust they eat is spiritual children. They, along with the serpent will feed on this dust. 

 

The serpent can only feed on spiritual children, he has no power over a spiritual adult.

The right eye

Matt. 5:29.

29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

 

The correct church is like a body, where each part has its own role to play. Individual parts act in the interest of the whole body and put their own needs second. 

The eyes are the lights that guide the body. They are the prophets.

The ‘right eye’ is the main prophet. If that prophet is causing the church to stumble it needs to be forcibly removed and thrown away. Not to do this will result in the whole body being thrown into hell.  

 

The Lamp of the Body

Luke 11:33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. 34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. 35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

 

The right hand

Matt. 5:30.

30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. 

 

The right hand is the leader of the church. Jesus sits at the right hand of God and is God’s ‘right hand man’. 

We are meant to become Christ like and the correct leader will be God’s right hand man. 

Adulteress leaders will condemn the whole church to hell. Cut them off and throw them away.

 

Mark 16:19

19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God   

 

Luke 22:69

But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God.

 

There is forgiveness for adulteress leaders and prophets if they repent.

 

1 Corinthians 3:12-15

12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw,13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

 

There is no forgiveness, however, for betrayal. Like Judas you will get what you deserve.

 

All new churches should wait for the Holy Spirit to appoint a leader. Only God knows a persons heart. When the head is named by the Holy Spirit, the body should help him feel comfortable in his new job. 

 

All churches to date ( 2025) have adulteress leaders and are in need of  Holy Spirit appointed people.
